Johannes Montag ist neuer Head of E-Commerce bei PICARD

The family company is continuing to expand the e-commerce area.

Obertshausen, May 2021. Johannes Montag took over the position of Head of E-Commerce at PICARD on May 1st. The company continues to expand the entire team in this area and merges the marketing and e-commerce departments into a new DTC division, Direct to Consumer. Johannes Montag brings, among other things, more than 15 years of experience in the e-commerce sector, which he gained mainly in the sporting goods industry. At PICARD Lederwaren, he will contribute to the expansion of the B2C business and accompany the digitalization of the entire sales department.

“We are expanding the B2C area to take into account the new buyer structures of end consumers. More and more purchases are being made online and so we are directing our economic activities to where we can reach the most customers. But even in the B2B area there is still a motivated field service team, with our usual good dealer support, to identify and satisfy the needs of our retail partners and those of our stores. In this way, we are continuing to advance our omnichannel sales system and strengthening the brand for the future,” says Georg Picard, Managing Director of PICARD Lederwaren GmbH & Co KG.
