The leather goods manufacturer PICARD employs around 180 people in its own factory in the Ukrainian city of Mukachevo, where important series of the PICARD collection, such as the basic lines "Berlin", "Buddy" and many small leather goods are manufactured.
The factory manager of the Ukrainian PICARD factory, Stanislav Didenko, has for many years voluntarily supported the local aid organisation Dobrochynez, which is currently taking care of the many refugees arriving in Mukachevo and the surrounding area. On 28 February 2022, PICARD opened a donation account where donations were collected until 13 March 2022 and thus PICARD was already able to transfer a total of 45,000 euros to the Dobrochynez relief organisation.
In order to continue to collect donations and support the Dobrochynez aid organisation, the donation account will not only remain open, but PICARD will also implement another campaign and produce #picardfamily bracelets in the Ukrainian national colours. For every bracelet sold, €5 will go directly to the PICARD donation account and will then be transferred to the Dobrochynez aid organisation.
The #picardfamily bracelets were initially only made for the PICARD crew themselves to send a message of solidarity. Due to the many requests for the bracelets, the team in the manufactory at the PICARD headquarters in Obertshausen acted quickly and produced more solidarity bracelets. The bracelets are available in the PICARD online shop, all stationary PICARD stores and at participating retail partners for an RRP of €10.
The first donation of €45,000 arrived at just the right time. Stanislav Didenko and the many other tireless helpers set out every day to bring food and relief supplies to needy people in Mukachevo and the surrounding area. Many refugees are accommodated in the converted community room and other dormitories and are provided with food and basic necessities by the aid organisation. Currently, many families with children are finding refuge here.

Unofficially, there are now more than 100,000 refugees in need in Mukachevo. With the total amount of 45,000 Euros, the aid organisation Dobrotschynez can make a lot of difference in Mukachevo and the surrounding area.
