PICARD PRESENTS F/S 2025 COLLECTION AT THE ILM
OFFENBACH AM MAIN, SEPTEMBER 04, 2024 - The renowned bag and leather goods specialist PICARD took part in the 160th edition of the International Leather Goods Fair (ILM) in Offenbach from August 31 to September 2, 2024, where it presented its latest creations for the spring/summer 2025 season.
With a clear focus on durable and resource-saving materials and the usual attention to detail in the designs, PICARD impressed trade visitors. “The bag has now regained importance. We have had very positive reactions to our collection. The customers who come are buying more and are not hesitant. But, and unfortunately this cannot be denied: many stores are closing,” explains CEO Georg Picard on the market situation. With regard to the product range, he adds: “In terms of products, the focus is on alternative materials. 95% of our range is made from recycled or recyclable materials. Pastel shades and raffia are in demand. And small men's bags!”
The spring/summer 2025 collection from PICARD is characterized by lightness, liveliness and joie de vivre. High-quality materials, including LWG- and SLF-certified leather and recycled faux leather, come in fresh colors such as limoncello, mentha, rose, lipstick and violet. The focus is on haptics, logo variants and harmoniously coordinated colors. PICARD once again demonstrates its sense of zeitgeist, aesthetics and trends. A special highlight at the PICARD stand was a summery ice cream bar, which perfectly matched the new spring/summer 2025 collection and also delighted the trade fair visitors.
PICARD also took part in the ILM campaign for the 160th anniversary edition and exhibited a PICARD bag from the 2000s in the foyer of the trade fair. “We like to take this opportunity to present treasures from past collections from our 96-year company history. The most important thing at the trade fair is the entertainment. Customers want to feel comfortable. It's the exchange that counts,” adds Georg Picard.
Nina Schator, Head of Sales at PICARD, is also delighted with the event: “The ILM in Offenbach was a highlight for me with wonderfully positive, emotional and unforgettable moments and encounters. Our new collection, which we worked on for months and put a lot of heart and soul into developing, was received with great enthusiasm by the customers. The positive response was not only tangible, but was also reflected in numerous successful orders that we were able to write directly on site. Above all, the many positive and intensive discussions, the laughter and the trust of our customers have inspired us as a sales team and with this positive tailwind, we are inspired and motivated to implement the new projects and tasks.”
For the family business PICARD, ILM continues to be the most important trade fair in the leather goods industry in Germany. “What is striking is that Sunday is now the most important day at the trade fair. ILM is an indispensable marketplace for us, not just an order platform,” concludes Georg Picard.
